To most of you, this probably looks like nothing. However, this is going to be a gem in my costume that I haven’t worked on in weeks. :D
My basic LED circuiting knowledge is put to use! I can’t wait for the resin to finish curing so I can make it pretty and finally finish my one shoulder piece.
Maybe I will kick my butt in gear for megacon and have it finished, after all.
If not, I’ll probably make a Sheik costume. :3 :3 :3

My wig looks less scary with the hood on. It’s weird in general though because I am so incredibly not blonde.

My Sylvanas wig came in, my eyebrows and lack of makeup make me look manly, and never have I felt more pale in my life haha.

This is why I will never be a blonde. But! It is really fun to wear, and I look forward to taking pictures of me wearing it with my hood and attaching some elf ears to it. :3

Also I made James kiss my cheek but he moved fast =\

BOOM LEDS

I want to cry it looks so much better than mine why do I have to send this away it’s so pretty D:Never making a better mask for someone else than for me ever again. JK I will, but I still love this.

lol guys look how white I am. I feel like I actually look a bit insane here, which is sweet, and even though I have done this pose so many times in photos, this is my favorite. I just like the general atmosphere of the photo. Yay cosplay picnic!

I’m thinking about starting to try to make a keaton mask. I kindof want a break from Sylvanas for now, and I really want a keaton mask. I could maybe even have it finished by tonight! Wouldn’t that be special?

Anonymous asked: how did you make your WOW armor? Materials and processes wis. *^_^*

Let’s see, well the base of the armor is all done in sintra, which is a PVC foam board that can be found at sign/sign supply shops. It comes in 4’x8’ boards, and I use a 3mm thickness.

  1. Cut your design out using a carpet cutter/razor knife (I found mine at wal-mart for $1.47). The design is really the most important part, because the rest is just shaping.
  2. Using a heat source, such as a heat gun, boiling water, or a stove-top burner, bend and shape the sintra piece to your heart’s desire (it takes a lot of shaping and reshaping).

That’s how you get the base of it, but for the details I added, I used  a paper mache clay recipe (http://ultimatepapermache.com/paper-mache-clay) that I then covered with joint compound to get it smooth. The spikes are made of sculpey clay, skulls and outline are that paper mache/joint compound mixture. And the rest is paint!

Hope that was detailed enough, let me know if you have any other questions.

Even though nobody is on now, I’m so excited to finally have this done I’m posting it anyway. I might redo the middle spike because it looks a lot like a rhinoceros horn or something, and a bit too big, but for now I am finished!

I added a close up of the weathering, which I was pretty proud of. I’m just excited to have finally finished this thing, even though I have to do it all over again for the other shoulder lol.

I need to invest in a toaster oven

for my ~Sculpey creations~ so I don’t feel like an assbag to my roommates for using the kitchen so late.

On that note though, once those babies are out of the oven, my shoulder armor piece will be done, except for the resin gem which will come later. Expect photos in the near future!

I’ve never painted scales before

and these are really weird and not “normal” scales, they have no direction. But, I’d like to think I’m doing a pretty good job, considering lack of any training in painting and lack of experience with such a thing. :D

Supercon Picnic was fun,

Even though my hat thing was dumb. That is the most annoying thing in the world. I did get some Pocky though! and invited to join a cosplay stunt group, haha.

If someone came up to me and said, “Meagan, you can never sew gloves again.” I think I would be pretty okay with that.

I’ve spent so much money on crafting things this week.

Hopefully I get a job soon.

But! I bought pretty much everything I need to fix my Skull Kid costume and will hopefully have it finished by this weekend for the Supercon Cosplay picnic and will be able to get some fancy pictures at the photoshoots :3

I swear, when I had the fabric in my hands I felt like I held all the power in the world, it was pretty awesome :D
